The Foundation for Palestinian Studies is Launched

After a full year of planning and fundraising, the University of Waterloo held the Inaugural Lecture of the مؤسسة الدراسات الفلسطينية.

Our esteemed guest speaker for this very important historical launch was Dr. Reem Bahdi, Dean of Windsor Law, University of Windsor. She was the first Palestinian law professor in Canada and the first Palestinian dean of a law school in North America.

Dr. Bahdi’s lecture, titled The Kindness of Strangers: Being Palestinian, Living the Law, spoke to the heart and soul of what it means to be a Palestinian in Canada, and in the diaspora. A very inspiring speech, it is a must view.

This is the beginning of a historic Foundation that will help spark meaningful dialogue around Palestine, its history, its culture, and the challenges Palestinians face.
